Bum Interviews:
The Tiffany Apan Interview
Sometimes we like to get updates from the people we meet on our journey through the soft underbelly of the entertainment world. We met Tiffany at Cinema Wasteland in beautiful Northern Ohio, and asked that if she ever had any cool news to share, to be sure to look us up again. Lo and behold, look who’s here!

Scraps: Well hey, Tiffany, long time no see! It seems like forever since we've hung out. For the BumsCorner community out there that's not familiar with your work, tell them where they may have seen you before.

Tiffany: Well, I am in the Troma distributed film, "Meat for Satan's Ice Box." It was directed and produced by David and Diana Silvio of Kiss of Death Productions (very awesome to work with). As I said, the film was picked up and distributed through Troma. You either pick it up on the Troma website, any Borders or video store that would carry Troma films or films of that nature, or visit my website, and go the Merchandise section. I was also the Tromette of the Month for August 2005 and I have been seen at conventions working as a Tromette at the Troma table. I'm all about Troma and Kiss of Death, but I love to branch out as well. I'm working on a couple other projects and my credits are listed on my website as well. One of them is actually an Amelia Earhart docu drama that is set to be released this July. Another is "Birds of Prey," a film based on the comic book series of that title. But "Meat For Satan's Ice Box" is already out on DVD, so pick it up! It has madness, mayhem, blood, a cameo appearance be Lloyd Kaufman, and hot chicks! What more could you want?

Scraps: Wow! Sounds like you’ve got a lot going on right now! I love your site by the way, and it looks like you’ve got a wide variety of modeling and acting under your belt (when you’re wearing one of course) – how did you first get into the entertainment field?

Tiffany: Thanks! I'm glad you like the site!Yes, I do try to keep the variety going. Nothing is worse than doing the same part over and over again. Well, for me the entertainment field is something that interested me since I was a little girl. It began with watching movies as a kid and my mom having me take dance classes. Everything just kind of progressed from there. I picked up acting and voice lessons in high school. I was in many plays and musicals locally. I was even critically acclaimed for my singing. But my real turning point was in college when I studied film acting from Jeff Monahan. He has done work with George Romero and Tom Savini. I then hooked up with Kiss of Death Productions who later hooked up with Troma. Troma picked up "Meat For Satan's Ice Box," I became Tromette of the Month, I became one of Kiss of Death's featured 'Angels of Death,' I began working conventions and getting more film and photography offers.

Scraps: Sounds like a dream come true for inspiring actors. So tell us a little bit about your upcoming projects, The Amelia Earhart docudrama and “Birds of Prey” – both sound pretty interesting. Also, with all the work you have going on, and the conventions on top of it, you must put in some crazy hours…yet your skin looks amazing, what’s your secret?

Tiffany: (laughs) Well, yes it's been a bit of a dream (almost). My upcoming projects scheduled for release this year are "Close to Closure" with Acosta Productions, "Revenge, Sweet Revenge" with JP Ashe Productions, and "Birds of Prey" with Ikuzo Studios West. "Close to Closure" (the Amelia Earhart docu-drama) brings up new evidence as to what might have happened to her, possibly even bringing an end to the mystery. My character is Rosemary, a college girl who had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Earhart when Ms. Earhart visited Purdue University. This is to be released in July of 2006. "Birds of Prey" was ass-kicking fun to make. My character is Oracle/Barbara Gordon. She was the original Bat Girl who was trained by Batman and injured permanently during combat with the Joker. This film depicts what happened after her injury as she trains new female superheroes to protect Gotham City. Anyone familiar with the comic book series, "Batman," "Nightwire," and "Birds of Prey" will enjoy this film. I also play a killer-in-training in the film, "Revenge,Sweet Revenge." They are aiming to have it out in September of 2006. My newest film project is with Kiss of Death Productions. It is entitled "I, the Killer." Oh, and about my skin; part of it is being blessed genetically while the rest comes with lots and lots of water, healthy food (most of the time), sleep, and using product that is appropriate for my skin type.

Scraps: Damn – all those sound like great flicks! Maybe you can help resolve an ongoing debate we have whenever we get together in a bar…who WAS the best Batman in the movies?

Tiffany: Ah, damn...well, I feel they all had their strengths. But since I always like originals and Tim Burton, I'll say Michael Keaton.

Scraps: Not quite the answer I was looking for. I would have accepted Adam West, or Christian Bale.

Tiffany, thanks for stopping by the ‘corner and letting us know what you’re up to. Be sure to drop in and keep us posted with any updates, and we’ll catch you again on the convention circuit.
