This is the first black horror film that has come into my graces and it had a few comical moments as well as some pretty tense ones. I had expected this to be much worse than it was. I didn't want to have to sit thru it alone so I went over my cousin's where she and her friends are camping out back in the woods near the swamp--where you hear all kinds of crazy noises to scare you even when you're not normally that easily frightened.

Monica the star of a very popular sitcom gathers up her friends to go on a camping trip. Now camping to me means sleeping in a tent, camper or cabin- these guys were in this huge ass house that was top notch by all means. Dwayne proposes to Monica and the partying begins...along with the killing. Watching them all scared out of their minds huddled together going up the steps was pretty memorable.

Now I wasn't too thrilled with the special twist ending where as my cousin the usually harsher critic loved it which really surprised me. While I was saying "Oh C'mon!" she was saying "I fuckin' love it!" So there is a 50/50 chance of you loving this film--it's funny how it all comes down to you and your own opinion so you can't just accept mine since you could miss out on having a blast.

Holla is a chance you'll need to take and see how the dice roll. There was an ending that left room for a dreaded sequel that I assume they'll name Holla Back! All I know is I thought gut shot wounds to the gut were nearly always fatal and I predict they should be pretty painful as well, maybe even enough to make someone have a hard time getting up? Now I can add this story to the long list of why I hate Camping!
