I remember when this first came out and I was hoping to get to review it, then forgot about. Well, here I finally got my mitts on it and I have to say I was a little disappointed. I am a big Elisha Cuthbert fan and find her completely gorgeous among being a great actress in today’s world of film. Captivity showcased her skills as well as radiated her presence.

The lovely and incredibly talented Elisha Cuthbert stars in the twisted thriller Captivity. She plays Jennifer, a very successful fashion model who is kidnapped from a night club when someone drugs her drink and then held captive in a cold dark place decorated like her own bedroom. You see the utter fear in her face when she figures out that this not her beautiful house.

What I did like was the paper macheing of the face, it reminded me of the movie Tourist Trap which scared the living shit out of me when I was a kid. The video footage of prior victims plays while she is strapped in a chair being prepared to have some of those awful things done to her. The blender full of parts managed to get a noteworthy gag from me as she was forced to slurp down a funnel full of nastiness.

What I didn't like was the way they have to throw a stupid twist in it, it ruined it for me just like with Scream. Double Trouble doesn't do it for me. As soon as Gary was introduced I knew what he was. It pissed me off. People should let good things be and stop trying to make the ultimate thriller. Don't get me wrong it was not a bad movie, it just was different than what I had presumed it to be.
