The Condemned reminded me a little of the movie The Running Man with the ol' California governor himself Arnold Schwarzenegger and in the same sort of scenery of another hit of his, Predator. Stone Cold Steve Austin stars as Jack Conrad, a bad ass prisoner who was sentenced to death for blowing up a building killing three men in El Salvador.

Sleazy television producer Ian Breckel purchases a bunch of condemned killers and throws them all on an island with the intent of only one winner, one survivor. I am not a big WWE fan so I didn't even know that the main character was a well known wrestler....Duh!

I liked his character a lot. Even though he'd snap your neck if you messed with him he still had that big teddy bear side to him with a set of morals to match. This game show is a reality show where the viewers can watch the convicts rape, maim, and kill each other.

All of the people who have put this show together are in for a big surprise when a convict or two makes it over to the side of the island housing them and all of their equipment. Will there be any survivors in this tacky money-making effort or will everyone end up picking each other off?

The Condemned will pull you in like a strong tide at the bay and have you rooting for Jack to kick some criminal ass. Rather than kill the people he came across he actually tried to help them first. He didn't want to kill but had to so he could defend himself. Jack Conrad will fight to his death for the freedom he deserves.
