Nick Palumbo intends to shock all with "Murder Set- Pieces" an independent film about a German Photographer/ serial killer who prowls thru Las Vegas on a mission for women he can use as playthings to take home and stick them in his sound proof basement torture chamber. He is dating a salon hairdresser named Charlotte who is raising her little sisters. Her 11- 12 year old sister Jade just seems to know that he is a big loser but Charlotte chooses to be clueless or just plain stupid. I just don't think that most 11 year old girls would be that interested in their sister's relationship anyway, unless it was being played out on the couch in the living room where she could spy on them...that's what little girls do. They don't cop cabs and sneak over to check up on her sis' man's behavior.

Going into this, I don't know why but for some reason I pictured it being different, I think I expected to much. The photographer at times during his German ranting and raving for some reason reminds me of Arnold Swartzenegger with sideburns like Wolverine. Thru out the movie you sort of piece together bits of his childhood that hint at why he is such a monster toward these women. Another thing I didn't really like was that Gunnar Hansen and Tony Todd are played up a little by being on the box but their parts are puny and effortless. I'll admit that Tony Todd was a little funny when he was pissed off.

It sucked not knowing some of the shit this Nazi's obsessed maniac was spouting off during his slicing and f*cking rages, you just knew it wasn't good the way the spittle would fly vehemently from his mouth. The violence in the movie is pretty graphic at times and border on the brink of the exploitation films guidelines... plenty of blondes, boobs, and blood. I didn't like that there was no suspense what so ever in this film. You knew what was going to happen, and how the blood would splatter. This is by no means a bad movie, it just lacks some of what it takes to get and keep you hooked in it's storyline.Like pieces were missing. Bloody whores is nothing new in my book and killers have been offing them since the beginning of time for being a man's sex toy.
