I am teetering on a very thin line with this film "Spirit Trap". It was about (another) four college students that movie into an abandoned mansion with dusty hallways and murky water flowing from the taps. There is also a rather large old clock. The one student named Jenny- her mother dabbled and believed in the spirit world and tells them that the clock that graces their living area is a spirit clock. A Spirit clock is supposed to be like a bridge from our world to the next. Nick figures since it's just sitting there so he might as well make it useful.

A small journal was stuck inside jamming the gears and after Nick cuts his finger it falls out but everyone forgets about it trying to see the damage to his skin. The house's evil spirits plagued all the kids against each other and slowly secrets start to seep out and explain that there is much more going on then just weird hallucinations, and visions. Now this is where things get tricky. I love ghost stories and I am completely fascinated with the paranormal. Christ every Wednesday I tune into the Sci Fi Channel to watch my all time favorite show "Ghost Hunters" I have been out before at spooky places like the old abandoned Mental Asylum Lakeland (in NJ) before it was knocked to the ground trying to stir shit up. I was meddling

Now I thought the storyline was neat and worthy of a scary Steven King T.V. series but with a little kick to it. I just think that sometimes putting the idea out there on film is a lot harder than when a person’s reading it. When reading about it you can envision the scene and it's scary. Sometimes T.V. comes off somewhat hokey even though it's a great idea. Anyway I fully enjoyed Tom's character. He was shady and a complete loon. His wicked little minx of a girlfriend Adele was quite the show stealer herself in a few scenes.

I enjoyed this film and think a lot of others will too. I know I am addicted to spooky old ghost stories whether it be they take place in the woods, mansions, or graveyards. Being a ghost trapped in a house with a malevolent spirit is creepy in itself, plus there are other things going on that are interesting to try and figure out. Nothing mind bending or brilliant… just a fun scare. I decided on giving it 3 full Bum's cans.
