Dane Cook is the biggest comedic hack I have ever seen in my life. His stand up shows are horrible. This guy cannot find a punchline to save his life. I would rather drill a 3/8ths sized hole into my left temple with a 18v Black and Decker cordless drill then sit through one more of his shows. That being said, I figured he had to be famous for some reason. Surely he can act right? With that in mind (As well as Alba’s boobies), I decided to give Good Luck Chuck a chance.

Well I’m pleased to say that I did not completely destroyed my vision when the bleach had cleared. What am I talking about you ask? This move was so atrocious that about half way through I just started uncontrollably pouring bleach into my eyes. I had to do anything to make this drivel stop.

Dane Cook is as horrible an actor as he is a comedian, if not worse. He’s more wooden and stiff then Hayden Christiansen in Star Wars. He has no timing. None. Jessica Alba was just as bad. It is a good thing she is hot, because if she wasn’t we would have never heard of her. I don’t know why she even tries to act. She just can’t do it.

In this movie Dane Cook plays a player who was hexed at a very young age. The hex stated that everyone who slept with him would then go on to find their true happiness with the next guy they dated. Well it was supposed to be a curse, but obviously turned out to be a blessing. Every woman wanted to sleep with him just so they could get married. He went from one piece of ass to the next until Jessica Alba entered his life.

From there he fell in love for the first time and this thing spun quickly into a chick flick. She’s aware of his wild reputation so he has to work extra hard to win her over. Then they encounter some obstacles and break up. We go through a whole will they or won’t they scenario, and finally hit the end in which you already know what happens. I’ve seen this plot a zillion times only usually it’s starring Sandra Bullock.

Yeah, this just really isn’t that good. I can’t honestly say I chuckled once through the entire thing. That’s not a very good statement for a quasi chick flick comedy. The one saving grace was that there was a little nudity in this film. But it wasn’t Alba nudity and it certainly wasn’t enough to get hot and bothered by. Yeah, when your roaming the isles of your local video store just pass right over this one.
